    Onze eigen merkproducten zijn opgebouwd uit grondstoffen. Deze komen van over de hele wereld. Ons uitgangspunt hierbij is: we halen onze producten en grondstoffen van zo dichtbij mogelijk en zo ver weg als nodig. We willen weten hoe deze producten worden geproduceerd, onder welke arbeidsomstandigheden, hoe dieren worden behandeld en wat de milieueffecten zijn. Samen met u als leverancier werken we dag in dag uit aan het verbeteren van de resultaten op deze duurzaamheidsthema’s.

    Op deze pagina leest u alles over ons meest recente grondstoffenbeleid. U vindt hier een overzicht van de grondstoffen waarop ons beleid van toepassing is, wat de scope hiervan is, welke doelstellingen we hebben gesteld en wat we van u verwachten.

    Onze ambitie

    Algemeen due diligence beleid 


    Sommige grondstoffen brengen verhoogde risico’s met zich mee voor mens, milieu en dier. VVoor eigen merkproducten uit risicolanden of met risicovolle grondstoffen hanteren we aanvullende inkoopeisen om verantwoorde productie en transparantie in de keten te waarborgen. Deze eisen maken deel uit van het leverancierscontract. Elk jaar beoordelen we of ons huidige grondstoffenbeleid de risico’s in de keten nog voldoende dekt. Waar nodig passen we het beleid aan.

    We hebben gedragsregels vastgelegd in de Standards of Engagement. Hierin staan o.a. de minimumnormen waar u als leverancier aan moet voldoen op het gebied van mensenrechten en milieubescherming. De Standards of Engagement vormen de basis waarop wij willen samenwerken met onze leveranciers. Daarnaast verwachten wij van onze leveranciers dat zij alleen samenwerken met partijen die voldoen aan de Standards of Engagement. U bent als leverancier zelf verantwoordelijk voor een eigen due diligence beleid in dit kader. We raden aan om hiervoor de OESO-richtlijnen en ‘Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights’ van de Verenigde Naties te volgen.

    Wat verwachten wij van u als leverancier?

    Wij verwachten dat u zich houdt aan ons grondstoffenbeleid, dat beschreven is in onze minimale duurzaamheidseisen voor eigen merkproducten.

    Hierin is per grondstof aangegeven:

    • Doelstelling
    • Geaccepteerde standaarden
    • Aanvullende eisen (indien van toepassing)
    • Scope en definities

    Voor een uitgebreidere omschrijving van het beleid bestaan er grondstof specifieke documenten. Deze zijn te vinden in ons specificatiesysteem TraceOne, of op te vragen via sustainablesupplier@ah.nl.

    De volgende grondstoffen zijn (nog) niet (volledig) opgenomen in de minimale duurzaamheidseisen voor eigen merkproducten:

    Duurzaamheidseisen per eigen merkproduct

    Varken

    Basisvereisten

    In de minimale duurzaamheidseisen voor eigen merkproducten vindt u de basiseisen voor eigen merkproducten die varkensvlees bevatten.

    Aanvullende vereisten

    Voor eigen merk vers varkensvlees en -vleeswaren uit Nederland gelden de volgende geaccepteerde standaarden:

    • Beter Leven Keurmerk (BLK) 2 sterren

    • Biologisch & Beter Leven Keurmerk (BLK) 3 sterren

    Dit geldt voor eigen merk vers varkensvlees en -vleeswaren uit Nederland met:

    • >5% varkensvlees als ingrediënt

    • <5% varkensvlees als ingrediënt, maar met varken vermeld in de productnaam of afgebeeld op de verpakking.

    Dit geldt niet voor:

    • Producten met <5% varken als ingrediënt en zonder vermelding van varken in de productnaam of op de verpakking.

    • Buitenlandse specialiteiten.

    • Diervoeding.

    Kip

    Basisvereisten

    In de minimale duurzaamheidseisen voor eigen merkproducten vindt u de basiseisen voor eigen merkproducten die kip bevatten.

    Aanvullende vereisten

    Voor eigen merk vers en diepvries kippenvlees en -vleeswaren uit Nederland gelden de volgende geaccepteerde standaarden:

    • Beter Leven Keurmerk (BLK) 2 sterren

    • Biologisch & Beter Leven Keurmerk (BLK) 3 sterren

    • Equivalent met minimaal gelijke certificeringseisen

    Dit geldt voor eigen merk vers en diepvries kippenvlees en -vleeswaren uit Nederland met:

    • >5% kip als ingrediënt

    • <5% kip als ingrediënt, maar met kip vermeld in de productnaam of afgebeeld op de verpakking.

    Dit geldt niet voor:

    • Producten met <5% kip als ingrediënt en zonder vermelding van kip in de productnaam of op de verpakking.

    • Buitenlandse specialiteiten in vleeswaren.

    • Diervoeding.

    Ei

    Basisvereisten

    In de minimale duurzaamheidseisen voor eigen merkproducten vindt u de basiseisen voor eigen merk tafeleieren en eigen merkproducten die eieren bevatten.

    Aanvullende vereisten

    Voor eigen merk verse tafeleieren uit Nederland gelden de volgende geaccepteerde standaarden (of een combinatie hiervan):

    • Beter Leven Keurmerk (BLK) 1, 2 of 3 sterren

    • Biologisch & Beter Leven Keurmerk (BLK) 3 sterren

    • Aanvullende eis: alle verse tafeleieren uit Nederland zijn wit van kleur en gelegd door witte kippen.

    Dit geldt niet voor eigen merkproducten die ei of ei-ingrediënten bevatten. Hiervoor geldt de volgende minimale geaccepteerde standaard:

    • Scharrelei – ei code 2

    Zuivel

    Basisvereisten

    In de minimale duurzaamheidseisen voor eigen merkproducten vindt u de basiseisen voor eigen merk zuivelproducten en eigen merk Goudse kaas.

    Aanvullende vereisten

    Voor eigen merk dagverse zuivelproducten en alle eigen merk roomboter en eigen merk Goudse kaas gelden de volgende geaccepteerde standaarden:

    • Biologisch

    • Aanvullende eis: voor alle eigen merk zuivelproducten wordt weidemelk gebruikt als basis.

    Dit geldt niet voor:

    • Alle overige producten die zuivel of zuivel ingrediënten bevatten, anders dan dagverse zuivelproducten en eigen merk Goudse kaas uit Nederland.

    • In het buitenland geproduceerde dagverse zuivelproducten en specialiteiten.

    Aardappelen, groente & fruit uit Nederland

    In de minimale duurzaamheidseisen voor eigen merkproducten vindt u de basiseisen voor aardappels, groente en fruit uit Nederland. Voor eigen merk verse aardappelen, groente & fruit uit Nederland gelden de volgende geaccepteerde standaarden:

    • Biologisch

    Aardappelen, groente & fruit uit het buitenland

    In de minimale duurzaamheidseisen voor eigen merkproducten vindt u de basiseisen voor aardappels, groente en fruit uit het buitenland. Deze eisen gelden voor alle AGF-leveranciers. Voor Biologische, Fairtrade en Rainforest Alliance producten gelden aanvullende certificeringseisen. We nodigen alle buitenlandse AGF-leveranciers uit om deel te nemen aan het Positive Produce for People and Planet programma.

    Rapportage

    De volgende grondstoffen worden in ons specificatiesysteem - TraceOne - gemonitord: cacao, koffie, thee, vis, schelp- en schaaldieren, papier & hout, noten.

    In TraceOne verzoeken wij onze leveranciers om aan te leveren:

    • Een geldig Chain of Custody-certificaat met de naam van de leverancier, de naam van de locatie, de certificeringsscope die overeenkomt met de geleverde producten en het type Supply Chain Model.
    • Het exacte land van herkomst op ingrediëntniveau.

     

    Beter Voor Natuur & Boer

    • Ketenpartners worden jaarlijks verzocht om te rapporteren op duurzaamheid KPI’s.
    • Ketenpartners moeten gecertificeerde grondstoffen afnemen om het logo te mogen voeren. Voldoet een product aan de certificeringsvoorwaarden voor het keurmerk? Upload het certificaat dan in TraceOne.

    Periodieke rapportages

    U ontvangt als leverancier periodiek een rapportage verzoek per e-mail voor de volgende grondstoffen. Onderstaande informatie geeft een indicatie van de inhoud van het verzoek. De exacte details ontvangt u via e-mail.

    Soja – Q4

    • Verzoek om meegestuurde Excel-template in te vullen. Hierin vragen we naar uw jaarlijkse soja-volume (direct in producten en indirect in veevoer), de herkomst en het certificeringsbewijs van de soja.

    Palm – Q2 & Q4

    • Verzoek om meegestuurde Excel-template in te vullen. Hierin vragen we naar informatie over de certificering en de herkomst (eerste importeur) van de palmolie.

    Wijn – Q4

    • Verzoek om een geldig certificaat te uploaden in Bottle Books.

    Commodities

    This page is for own-brand suppliers who supply products containing ingredients associated with increased risk to people and/or planet.

    The commodities and ingredients used in our own-brand products originate from all over the world. Our guiding principle is that we source our products and commodities from as close as possible and as far away as necessary. We seek to understand how these products are produced, the working conditions involved, the treatment of animals, and their environmental impact. Together with you as our supplier, we continuously strive to improve outcomes on these topics.

    On this page you will find an overview of the commodities and ingredients to which our policy applies, what their scope is, our ambitions, and what we expect from you.

    Our ambition

    General due diligence policy

    Some commodities carry higher risks for people, planet and/or animal welfare. For own-brand products from high-risk countries or containing high-risk commodities, we apply additional requirements to ensure transparent supply chains and responsible production practices. These requirements are part of our supplier contracts. Each year, we evaluate whether our current commodities policy sufficiently addresses supply chain risks and update it if needed.

    We have established codes of conduct in the Standards of Engagement. These standards outline the behavioral expectations for suppliers regarding human rights and environmental protection. The Standards of Engagement form the foundation for our collaboration with suppliers. Additionally, we expect our suppliers to work only with partners that comply with these standards. As a supplier, you are responsible for implementing your own due diligence policy in this regard. We advise suppliers to follow the OECD Guidelines and the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

    What do we expect from you as a supplier?

    We expect you to adhere to our commodities policies, which are summarized in our minimum sustainability requirements for own-brand products.

    Pork

    Basic requirements

    In the minimum sustainability requirements for own-brand products you will find the basic requirements for own-brand products that contain pork.

    Additional requirements

    The following accepted standards apply to own-brand fresh pork and cold cuts from the Netherlands:

    • Better Life Label (Beter Leven Keurmerk) 2 stars

    • Organic & Better Life Label (Beter Leven Keurmerk) 3 stars

    This applies to own-brand of fresh pork and cold cuts from the Netherlands with

    • >5% pork as an ingredient

    • <5% pork as an ingredient, but with pork listed in the product name or depicted on the packaging.

    This does not apply to:

    • Products with <5% pork as an ingredient and without mentioning pork in the product name or depicted on the packaging.

    • Foreign specialties.

    • Pet food.

    Chicken

    Basic requirements

    In the minimum sustainability requirements for own-brand products you will find the basic requirements for own-brand products that contain chicken.

    Additional requirements

    The following accepted standards apply to own-brand fresh and frozen chicken meat and cold cuts from the Netherlands:

    • Better Life Label (Beter Leven Keurmerk) 2 stars

    • Organic & Better Life Label (Beter Leven Keurmerk) 3 stars

    • Equivalent to at least equal certification requirements

    This applies to own-brand of fresh and frozen chicken meat and cold cuts from the Netherlands with

    • >5% chicken as an ingredient

    • <5% chicken as an ingredient, but with chicken listed in the product name or depicted on the packaging.

    This does not apply to:

    • Products with <5% chicken as an ingredient and without mentioning chicken in the product name or depicted on the packaging.

    • Foreign specialties in cold cuts.

    • Pet food.

    Eggs

    Basic requirements

    In the minimum sustainability requirements for own-brand products , you will find the basic requirements for own-brand table eggs and own-brand products that contain eggs.

    Additional requirements

    The following accepted standards (or a combination of these) apply to own-brand fresh table eggs from the Netherlands:

    • Better Life Label (Beter Leven Keurmerk) 1, 2 or 3 stars

    • Organic & Better Life Label (Beter Leven Keurmerk) 3 stars

    • Additional requirement: all fresh table eggs from the Netherlands are white eggs and laid by white chickens

    This does not apply to own-brand products that contain egg or egg ingredients. The following minimum accepted standard applies:

    • Free-range egg – egg code 2

    Dairy

    Basic requirements

    In the minimum sustainability requirements for own-brand products , you will find the basic requirements for own-brand dairy products and own-brand Gouda type cheese.

    Additional requirements

    The following accepted standards apply to own-brand, fresh dairy products and all own-brand butter and own-brand Gouda type cheese:

    • Organic

    • Additional requirement: All private label dairy products are made with meadow milk (weidegang).

    This does not apply to:

    • All other products that contain dairy or dairy ingredients, other than fresh dairy products and own-brand Gouda type cheese from the Netherlands.

    • Daily fresh dairy products and specialties produced abroad.

    Potatoes, vegetables & fruits from the Netherlands

    In the minimum sustainability requirements for own-brand products, you will find the basic requirements for potatoes, vegetables and fruit. The following accepted standards apply to own-brand fresh potatoes, vegetables and fruit from the Netherlands:

    Potatoes, vegetables & fruits from abroad

    In the minimum sustainability requirements for own-brand products, you will find the basic requirements for potatoes, vegetables and fruit. These requirements apply to all vegetables and fruit suppliers. Additional requirements apply to products that are Organic, Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance certified. We invite all fruit and vegetable suppliers located outside of the Netherlands to participate in the Positive Produce for People and Planet program.

    Reporting

    The following commodities are tracked in our specification system, TraceOne: cocoa, coffee, tea, fish and crustaceans, paper and wood, nuts.

    In TraceOne, we ask our suppliers to submit:

    • A valid Chain of Custody certificate that includes the name of the supplier, the name of the location, the certification scope corresponding to the products supplied, and the type of Supply Chain Model.
    • The exact country of origin of each ingredient.

    Better for Nature & Farmer

    • Supply chain partners are asked to report annually on sustainability KPIs.

    • To use the Better for Nature & Farmer logo, supply chain partners are required to purchase certified ingredients. If a product meets the certification requirements of Better for Nature & Farmer, the certificate should be uploaded in TraceOne.

    Periodic reporting requests

    As a supplier, you will periodically receive a report request via e-mail for the following commodities. The information below provides an overview of the content of the request. The exact details will be sent to you via e-mail.

    Soy – Q4

    • Suppliers will receive an email including a request to complete an Excel template, in which we ask for information regarding your annual soy volume (both directly in products and indirectly in animal feed), the origin, and the certification status of the soy.

    Palm – Q2 & Q4

    • Suppliers will receive an email including a request to complete an Excel template, in which we ask for information regarding the certification and the origin (including identification of the first importer) of the palm oil.

    Wine – Q4

    • Suppliers will receive an email including a request to upload a valid social and environmental certificate in Bottle Books.
